Please read the following several quick updates and be in touch with us if you can either help or are looking for any of these items.
Yom Tov Campaign:
For all those that have not yet been able to contribute to our special once a year family campaign, we urge you to please do so as soon as possible. As a reminder, all of these funds are distributed now before Yom Tov and given directly to families in our community with no overhead costs. Please visit the donation page to help us with this campaign.
Spanish CPR Course:
Approximately 3 weeks ago Achiezer received an incredible email from a Lawrence resident who described in detail how her one year old child had choked and become cyanotic; their Spanish speaking babysitter performed full choking procedures and literally saved this infant's life. She only knew what to do because of the Achiezer/Hatzalah CPR series. There are several spots left for our upcoming course on 9/28 which will be given for Spanish speakers. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a spot.
Achiezer has fielded several requests thus far from elderly and homebound people who are unable to make it to shul for Rosh Hashana. We are looking for people in the Far Rockaway/Lawrence area, Cedarhurst, Woodmere, as well as Oceanside. If you or someone you know are able to assist with this unique opportunity, please let us know immediately by emailing email@example.com
Although many families in the community will be receiving new Succahs for Yom Tov, we are asking anyone in the community who has a good condition Succah available to give away to please email firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can confidentially make a connection with a family who requires one. This is an easy and beautiful way to help complete the Yom Tov of another local family.
In the z'chus of the incredible chasadim that this community continues to perform may we all be zoche to a gut gebentched yahr and a K'siva V'chasima Tova.
