UPDATE FOR WEEK OF 12/10

GENERATOR STORAGE:
We are aware that many in our community obtained generators in recent weeks due to Hurricane Sandy. It has been brought to our attention that if these generators are not properly serviced they can malfunction and will be unable to be used. While it is our fervent prayer and hope to never have a need for such items again, we are happy to inform you that the Chaverim organization have agreed to offer a wonderful service for the community.
They will be servicing generators this Sunday from 10am-3:30pm in Yeshiva Darchei Torah's parking lot on Beach 19th Street. Please call the hotline at 718-337-1800 or email generators@chaverim5t.org for further information.
Although RSVP is not required, please email generators@chaverim5t.org if you do plan on utilizing this service.
DISASTER RECOVERY CENTER:
The Young Israel Of Woodmere Disaster Recovery Center in conjunction with the Nassau County Office of Emergency Management and FEMA will be open throughout the entire week: Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm and on Friday from 8am-2pm.
The Center is staffed with representatives from:
FEMA*SBA*Nassau County OEM*Hazard Mitigation*DMV*Nassau County Dept of Social Services.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING MOLD:
We are all painfully aware of the urgent need to address the growing mold issue in our neighborhoods quickly and effectively. The challenge has been to provide a quality yet cost effective solution to address the mold issues on a broad basis to the entire community. We are pleased to announce the availability two new options for the entire area.
1) A discounted rate has been made available through the JCC of Marine Park using Servepro ($1500 for the complete basement service / and optional additional $300 for lab testing and a report from a licensed independent hygienist). To set up an appointment please call 718-407-1832 or email your address and phone number mendy@jccmp.org. Once you have set up an appointment, someone will be sent to the home to assess the home readiness and further demo/ cleanup needs.
2) A discounted rate has also been made available through Mold Maven for water damage restoration. They are offering a free estimate that will provide specialized prices for the proper work needed. To set up an appointment please call 718-305-6833 or email your address and phone number to Sandy@moldmaven.com. Once you have set up an appointment, someone will be sent to the home to assess the home readiness and further demo/ cleanup needs.

MADRAIGOS COMMUNITY EVENT:
The Clinical Team of Madraigos invites you to join the Madraigos Chanukah Cafe
